Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons

Now in its 20th year, First Light is a must see event all amidst the spectacular glow of 5,000 candles. The magic begins at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, when visitors approach the historic site as a beautiful amber glow illuminates the 17th century mission. The cookhouse is filled with the sights and smells of delicious baked goods and cookie samples available for tasting. Historic blacksmithing will be demonstrated and an abundance of music will fill the air. For some early holiday shopping, artisans will be in the museum. A traditional home cooked meal is included at the St. Mark's Anglican/Lutheran Church.
